BASE jumping: story

BASE-jumps are often preceded by long hikes in the mountains, where one can enjoy beautiful forests, lakes, meadows and rocks. Being outdoors is an essential part of BASE-jumping and makes this sport even more attractive and enjoyable. Oliver is constantly on the lookout for new jumping-locations. This year’s highlight was a 200 meter dive from a tree located high on top of a rock at Meiringen (Switzerland), where he directly jumped from a tree branch into the void (see below). A very important part of this season’s activities was Oliver’s BASE-jumping training lessons. His classes are a fantastic opportunity to introduce newcomers into this fantastic sport, and the students very much enjoyed the different jumps throughout Switzerland. And by the way – all of them graduated with a good result! There are lot of new experiences to discover – but always remember – SAFETY FIRST.
